How We Absorbed the Repurposing Suite Into Every Skill Pack

Daniel Goodrich built a machine that watches a YouTube channel and writes articles. It sat in a Basecamp thread with five attachments, a 247-episode inventory, and a grader that already scored “per Jennifer rubric.” Today we took it apart, kept the best of it, merged it into our master skill set, and pushed it to every skill pack we publish — DealCon, Sigrun’s SOMBA team, Dunker Spotlight, AI Builder, the Task Library, and the packs on every Spotlight vertical.

The result is a new mandated skill, video-repurposing-agent — the daily channel watchdog. Here is the loop it runs, every morning, without anyone watching the uploads page:

Start With What Daniel Proved

Daniel’s Repurposing Suite v0.2 ran a real validation on the Escape Fitness LIFTS channel in May 2026. The numbers made the case for absorption on their own: 247 episodes inventoried and reconciled against 9 stray local drafts, a 10,081-word transcript pulled through the YouTube Data API, and a finished article graded A- on the second revision. Total API cost for that article: 251 units of the 10,000 the free tier grants every day. One credential can produce roughly 39 articles a day before the meter even matters.

His grader had teeth. On the first pass it caught two banned constructions, five headings that failed the verb-led rule, and two sentences ending in prepositions. That mattered to us for one reason: the rubric it enforced was ours. His grade record cites the blog posting guidelines line for line, so merging was a weld between two systems already built on the same standard.

Map the Overlap Before Touching Anything

Dennis asked for a fine-tooth Venn, so every claim below traces to a file in the absorption folder (Repurposing-Suite-Absorption/VENN-ANALYSIS-2026-07-20.md).

Three conflicts needed a ruling. His single-API-path doctrine became a decision table, because a Sigrun member’s first run should never block on OAuth — the keyless captions path works day one, and the shared-collaborator credential model stays for managed clients. His Managed Agents hosting plan is parked, because Dennis answered that one in the thread itself: “Still Sigrun first, please.” And his banned-word list turned out to be our April snapshot, missing the July additions — the merged list now carries both.

Merge Into the Master, Then Let the Loop Carry It

Where the master set lives, for anyone who wants to follow along: the source of truth is the DealCon-Skills/ folder in the Personal Brand Website project. Runs write lessons into Skill-Learnings/inbox/, the harvester merges them into every pack’s tailored copy, and propagate_all_packs.py rebuilds and republishes every downloadable zip daily at 4:33am — the loop described on the Skill Pack Library page, where each skill shows the day and year it last changed.

Two learning notes carried Daniel’s material into the writer chain across every pack. The new orchestrator skill went in as a first-class file, and we generalized the propagator’s mandate list — the mechanism that already forces grokipedia-authority into every pack now does the same for video-repurposing-agent, with the master copy as fallback until a pack grows its own tailored version.

Give Sigrun’s Members the Watchdog

The member-facing version answers the exact promise Dennis wants demonstrable: when a member uploads to YouTube, an agent notices the next morning, judges whether the video deserves an article, and stages a graded draft on her site — or her company site, or a different cut on each, cross-linked, per the Content Factory hub rules. A morning with nothing new produces one line and stops. Skipping a weak video is a decision it states out loud, because repurposing everything is how sites fill with pages nobody asked for.

The member contract stays draft-only — she publishes with a click over coffee. Our managed side publishes live through per-site Application Passwords, the same login-free publishing method the whole fleet runs on. Same skill, two trust modes, stated in the client card.

Grade Harder, Stop Sooner

The deepest single improvement is one sentence long: A- is the publish bar, and the first A- terminates. Jennifer always graded harshly. What she lacked was a stopping rule, and agents without stopping rules revise forever. Daniel’s production loop proved the terminator on real articles, so Jennifer now carries it, along with revision budgets by tier and grade caps for a missing source embed, a buried lead visual, a point-of-view mismatch, an admin byline on a personal-brand site, reused links, and dated promos that kill evergreen.

What This Run Taught the System

Every piece of this absorption used the machinery it was improving. The learning notes that carried Daniel’s rules were filed through the same Skill-Learnings loop the notes describe. The propagation that shipped the new skill was the same daily job the skill’s own report step feeds. And the article you are reading was written under the grader that the article announces. The factory improved the factory — which is the whole point of documenting agent work in public.

Credit where it lands: Daniel Goodrich built and validated the watch loop, the effort router, and the grader caps on his own channel access before any of this existed in a pack. The absorption keeps his three-skill architecture intact — watch and orchestrate, write, grade — and adds the publish leg, the trust contract, and the propagation rails he did not have. His original plugin and plan stay archived in the project for the record.
