How We Use Listen Notes to Find, Track, and Repurpose Every George Leith Podcast Appearance

George Leith has been on podcasts for a decade, hosted 250+ episodes of the award-winning Conquer Local Podcast, and just launched Evolved Pros with Dennis Yu as Episode 001. Yet when we ran "George Leith" on Listen Notes this week, only 85 episodes surfaced — and Conquer Local was credited to someone else. This article shows exactly how we ran the search, what we found, and the three fixable gaps that keep George’s brand from compounding the way it should.

[Lead visual — above the fold on desktop and mobile: the Listen Notes search-results page for "George Leith", showing “85 results” in the header and the top three episodes visible in the list. This is the article-specific primary evidence and must render in the initial viewport per the above-the-fold rule. Upload through the Media Library with alt text: “Listen Notes search results for George Leith showing 85 episode results.”]

This guide extends the original Listen Notes methodology and builds on the March 2026 George Leith personal brand audit, which cataloged 55 appearances across 10+ shows. Both are still the canonical method pages — this article is a leaf that feeds them, not a competitor.

Why George Leith Is Worth Listening To

George built Vendasta’s revenue engine from the first sales hire in 2012 to a 250-person team serving 60,000+ channel partners across 20 countries. He created and hosted the Conquer Local Podcast through five seasons and 250+ episodes, was recognized as a Top Gun 51 sales leader, and left Vendasta in 2023 to run Harvard Media as Managing Partner. He now runs international partnerships for AdCellerant and hosts Evolved Pros, a weekly podcast about reinvention before the AI era makes standing still a liability. If you sell to local businesses, run an agency, or lead a sales team, his back catalog is a masterclass sitting in plain sight.

Who This Guide Is For

Personal brands who guest often. George is the textbook case — a sales and media leader who has been guesting for a decade, hosted an award-winning show, and just launched a second one. If that pattern matches yours, this guide shows you how to use Listen Notes to discover, track, and export every episode that mentions your name — so you can repurpose them into articles, clips, and Dollar a Day ad campaigns.

VAs executing a podcast inventory for a client. You’ve been assigned to inventory George’s (or any personal brand’s) podcast appearances. This guide walks through every click — the search, the filters, the CSV export — with the real numbers we pulled for George so you know what “good” looks like.

AI agents running the workflow programmatically. You are searching Listen Notes through a browser. This guide gives you the exact queries, the fields to extract, and how to cross-reference results against Podchaser and YouTube.

What We Needed Before Starting

Information:

  1. The person’s full name exactly as it appears on podcasts — George Leith.
  2. Alternate spellings or variations — George Leith Vendasta, George Leith AdCellerant, George Leith Conquer Local.
  3. Known shows they host or have guested on, to verify results — Conquer Local Podcast, Evolved Pros Podcast, and confirmed guest shots on The Sales Technology Podcast, Outside Sales Talk, The Hard Sell, Siinda B-Side, The Pavilion Podcast, Live Better. Sell Better., Today in Digital Marketing, Driving Growth: The Go-To-Market Podcast, The Chiefs by Whiteark, and The Great Unfamous.

Tools:

  1. Listen Notes — free, no account required for basic search.
  2. Google Sheets — for recording and exporting results.
  3. A browser that can take screenshots.

Time: 15–30 minutes for the Listen Notes search itself. Add 30–45 minutes to cross-reference Podchaser and YouTube for the master inventory.

What Listen Notes Actually Does and Why It Matters Here

Listen Notes is a podcast-first search engine that indexes over 3 million podcasts and hundreds of millions of episodes across every directory. Unlike Spotify or Apple Podcasts, which are built for listeners, Listen Notes is built for discovery. It searches titles, descriptions, and transcripts, and it exports to CSV.

For George, the question that matters is simple: how many podcast episodes mention his name, and which ones deserve full-repurposing treatment? Listen Notes returned 85 episode results for the exact-phrase query. Every one of those is authority-building content sitting in a searchable database, and most have never been systematically repurposed.

How the Method Fits the Content Factory

Every podcast episode contains at least 10 pieces of reusable content. That is the Content Factory premise. The video is the raw asset. From it we pull audio for podcast directories, short-form clips for social, quotes for graphics, and long-form articles that embed the episode. But that repurposing only starts once the episode is known to exist. Listen Notes is the discovery layer.

For most personal brands, Listen Notes and Podchaser complement each other. For George specifically, running both surfaced a lesson worth stating up front: the numbers rarely match, and each tool has meaningful blind spots.

  • Listen Notes: 85 episode results, 1 hosted-podcast entry (Evolved Pros Podcast).
  • Podchaser: 108 episode results, 2 hosted-podcast entries (Evolved Pros Podcast, Triumph Selling with George Leith), and — critically — 0 creator credits. George has no claimed profile there at all.
  • Neither platform correctly attributes Conquer Local Podcast to George. Listen Notes now shows Jeff Tomlin as host; Podchaser tags only the editor and producer on the episodes we sampled.

Three fixable gaps. Each one is a lever the SEO Tree already tells us to pull.

Step-by-Step: The Search We Ran

Every click, with the real results we pulled.

Step 1 — Search. Go to listennotes.com and type "George Leith" in quotes. Hit search.

Step 2 — Episodes tab. This shows every indexed episode that mentions the name in the title, description, or transcript. Listen Notes returned 85 results, sorted by relevance. The top 10:

# Episode Podcast Listen Score
1 Ep 185 – George Leith – How to Create Rocketship Growth Today The Sales Technology Podcast LS 38 · Top 2%
2 Ep 71: From Farmer to Sales Leader with George Leith The Pavilion Podcast LS 35 · Top 3%
3 Data, Strategy, and the Science of Sales with George Leith Driving Growth: The Go-To-Market Podcast
4 How Agencies Can Form Meaningful Client Relationships (George Leith, CCO of Vendasta.com) Today in Digital Marketing LS 44 · Top 1%
5 Scaling Success with George Leith! Live Better. Sell Better. LS 36 · Top 2.5%
6 Leveraging Your Online Reputation to Increase Sales – Outside Sales Talk with George Leith Outside Sales Talk LS 38 · Top 2%

9 603: A Strategy That Doesn’t Consider The Gen Z Buyer is Doomed to Fail Conquer Local Podcast LS 44 · Top 1%
10 610: ChatGPT for Sellers: Useful Tool or More Meaningless Buzz? Conquer Local Podcast LS 44 · Top 1%

Four of the top 10 sit on Top 1–2% podcasts. Those are the ones we prioritize for full repurposing: article, clips, boost, backlinks. This maps directly to the blog posting guidelines for long-form video — highest-authority source, most attention.

Step 3 — Podcasts tab. This shows podcasts where the searched name appears in the show title or description. For George, exactly 1 podcast appeared: Evolved Pros Podcast — 11 episodes since April 2026, updated roughly every 10 days, average episode length 41 minutes.

The important absence: the Conquer Local Podcast does not appear as a “George Leith” podcast on Listen Notes. The show’s Listen Notes profile now lists Jeff Tomlin as host, with George only mentioned in the “In this podcast” people list as a past personality — despite George having created the show, hosted 250+ episodes, and won awards for it. Individual Conquer Local episodes still show up on the Episodes tab, but the branding attribution is gone.

That is fixable. Submit a correction through the Listen Notes claim-and-edit flow so the podcast page correctly credits the original host and creator. This is exactly the kind of attribution work personal brands leave on the table.

Step 4 — Sort and filter. Sort by date (newest first) to catch the most recent guest shots — including the Evolved Pros pilot with Dennis Yu as Episode 001, plus new appearances on Driving Growth. Use Filters to narrow by language, region, genre, or publish-date range if you want to isolate a 12-month window for a rolling repurposing sprint.

Step 5 — Export. On the right sidebar under ACTIONS, click the red Export results to CSV button (it points to listennotes.com/podcast-datasets/keyword/?q="George+Leith"). The CSV gives you podcast name, episode title, publish date, and links — the foundation for the George Leith master podcast inventory Google Sheet.

Features Most Podcast Guests Never Discover

Listen Notes has several features that turn it into more than a search engine.

Transcript search. Listen Notes indexes episode transcripts, not just titles and descriptions. For George, that surfaced episodes where his name doesn’t appear in the title at all. Three examples pulled straight from the results:

  • “Episode 18: ‘Glengarry Glen George’, featuring George Leith, Vendasta” on Above the Cloud — the title uses a play on words; his full name only appears in the description and transcript.
  • “603: A Strategy That Doesn’t Consider The Gen Z Buyer is Doomed to Fail” on Conquer Local Podcast — no name in the title; transcript snippet reads “George Leith is a lone wolf this week…”
  • “610: ChatGPT for Sellers: Useful Tool or More Meaningless Buzz?” — same pattern; the name lives only in the transcript.

Every one of those would be invisible on a plain title search. Transcript indexing is why Listen Notes belongs at the top of the funnel.

The Clip tool. Each episode result has a Clip button that generates a shareable audio clip directly on Listen Notes — pick a start and end time and it produces something embeddable. For George’s Conquer Local back catalog, this is the fastest way to pull soundbites without downloading the full audio.

Listen Score. Every podcast on Listen Notes gets a Listen Score from 0 to 100 with a percentile ranking. In George’s top-10 results: Today in Digital Marketing and Conquer Local both sit at LS 44 / Top 1%; The Sales Technology Podcast and Outside Sales Talk at LS 38 / Top 2%; Live Better. Sell Better. at LS 36 / Top 2.5%; The Pavilion Podcast at LS 35 / Top 3%. These scores drive prioritization — Top 1% appearances get the full repurposing treatment first.

Website embeds. Listen Notes lets you embed individual episodes or search results on a website. For George, that means the appearances page on georgeleith.com can pull an always-fresh feed of every new indexed appearance — increasing time-on-page and showcasing authority without manual updates.

RSS and email alerts. Subscribe to a name search via RSS or email so new appearances trigger a notification the moment they’re indexed. That is exactly how we make sure no new Evolved Pros episode ships without a repurposing plan already queued behind it.

Where Listen Notes Stops and the Real Inventory Begins

The original Listen Notes article made the case that Listen Notes alone misses 20–30 percent of appearances. The George Leith numbers push that even further — and in the opposite direction from the Dennis Yu run. Podchaser returned more episode results than Listen Notes did.

Sources that filled the gap for George:

Source What Listen Notes Missed
conquerlocal.com The full 500+ episode Conquer Local back catalog, indexed at the show site but attributed inconsistently across third-party tools
YouTube (Vendasta channel) Conquer Local Connect keynote sessions and breakouts — video-only, no RSS
harvardmedia.com The Harvard Media (2023–2024) Managing Partner era, plus Barrett Media radio-industry coverage
IAB Canada Humans of Digital Long-form profile interview, no podcast RSS
Siinda B-Side Profile interview indexed on the Siinda site, not on Listen Notes
georgeleith.com/blog Blog write-ups of guest appearances on The Hard Sell with Joel Stevenson (Yesware) and the Tenbound Sales Technology Podcast with David Dulany

Combined with the earlier George Leith personal brand audit, the current cross-referenced inventory now sits at 150+ verified appearances — as host of Conquer Local and Evolved Pros, plus guest shots on at least 25 distinct shows. That is a working number and it will keep growing as Evolved Pros seasons out and Vendasta-era appearances continue to surface.

The takeaway: Listen Notes is the strongest single starting point. For George specifically, Podchaser returned more episode results — the opposite of the Dennis Yu pattern — which is exactly why the workflow uses both, plus YouTube and show sites.

Three Compounding Moves This Inventory Unlocks

Most sales leaders treat podcast appearances as one-and-done events. Show up, talk for 45 minutes, share the link on LinkedIn, done. George’s catalog is a raw-material mine: 250+ Conquer Local episodes he hosted, a decade of guest shots, and the new Evolved Pros season shipping now. Each episode can generate articles, clips, quote graphics, audiograms, and backlinks — but only once you know it exists.

Three specific moves this inventory makes possible:

  1. Reclaim Conquer Local attribution on Listen Notes. Submit an edit so the podcast credits George as creator and original host. That single fix routes a decade of Top 1% search authority back to his personal brand.
  2. Claim a Podchaser creator profile. With 108 episode-level mentions and zero creator credits, this is the highest-leverage single gap in the current footprint. The full workflow lives in the Podchaser methodology article.
  3. Publish a canonical Appearances page on georgeleith.com. Embed a live Listen Notes feed and pin the curated master list on top. Every new Evolved Pros episode and every new guest shot flows into that page automatically, following the entity-linking decision tree so each show links back to the definitive method article.

Video Demonstration

[Video needed: Screen-record the George Leith Listen Notes search end to end — typing "George Leith" in quotes, clicking the Episodes tab, reviewing 85 results, clicking through to an episode, using the Clip feature, and exporting to CSV. Then switch to Podchaser, show 108 episode results, and demonstrate the missing creator profile. Follow BlitzMetrics task documentation standards — live narration with mouse clicks. Embed the finished video near the top of this article, per the source-embed rule.]
