Embracing Hands-On Expertise: Navigating the Transition from Coaching to Active Agency Ownership

In terms of starting your own agency, leveraging your excellent network would likely lead to quick client acquisition and establish your reputation and authority in the field. However, if you’ve been more focused on coaching and haven’t fully immersed yourself in the operational side of running an agency and being hands-on, there may be some challenges when it comes to getting into the nitty-gritty of the work. It’s important to acknowledge that rolling up your sleeves and diving into the day-to-day operations requires more effort than people may assume.

Personally, although I’ve had some successes in the past and could have chosen to simply speak on stage and reminisce about the old days, I still actively engage in running ads and stay up to date with the latest strategies because I firmly believe in the Learn-Do-Teach paradigm. Even when I coach, I make sure that I actually demonstrate how an activity is to be done instead of just making a slide presentation.
