The Local Quick Audit Is Not a Swapped Headline

This page is a worked example (a leaf). The canonical for how we audit is How we audit.

A plumber does not need HVAC copy with the word plumber swapped in. The local Quick Audit now loads a pack per trade — Maps query, Google category, scoring weights, intake sidebar, and the first line of the email — so roofing, plumbing, HVAC, landscaping, and electrical are actually different exams.

The six-pack was a door, not the exam

In August we rescued the industry landing pages so HVAC and roofing no longer shared one generic “six things we check” box. That was necessary and still not enough. Scoring in the factory was still the personal-brand exam (Knowledge Panel, 80+ cap). The scheduled Quick Audit skill still told agents to use the six areas from the mothership. Spotlight /quick-audit/ doors said “same six-area exam, tuned for {trade}.” Intake thanked everyone the same way.

A heating company that is invisible for “furnace repair” in January is not the same problem as a roofer with stock storm photos, or an electrician whose license number is on the truck and missing on Google. Swapping the headline does not change the score.

One sequence, different weights

Home-service PDFs now score Get Found → Get Chosen → Get Booked. The three columns always add to 100. The weights move:

  • Roofing puts more on Get Chosen — photos and storm proof beat a 4.9 that does not move the pack.
  • Plumbing puts more on Get Found — the money keyword is “plumber {city}”, hours have to match the emergency truck.
  • HVAC splits Found and Booked with the seasons: “ac repair” in summer, “furnace repair” in winter, membership on the site.
  • Landscaping splits mows vs design/build. Those are different buyers.
  • Electrical is license, panel photos, and “electrician {city}” — not HVAC with the word electrical.

If we never found a Google Business Profile, the local score caps at 49. A skipped check is UNKNOWN, not a zero. The Knowledge Panel 80+ rule still exists. It applies to people. It does not apply to a plumber.

Agents load the pack from the same file the pages use:

python3 -m factory vertical plumbing --city "Easton"
python3 -m factory vertical electrical --city "Flagstaff" --funnel

--funnel prints the intake thank-you, the Gmail open, and Day 3 / Day 7 lines for that trade. Keap’s old Day 3/7 sequence is still a human rebuild. Until it fires, the pack is what the agent pastes so a plumber does not get HVAC follow-up.

What a visitor actually sees

The mothership hub lists the five trades first. Each industry page on Local Service Spotlight shows that trade’s exam, not “the six things we check.” Electrical is a real URL now: /electrical-quick-audit/. Plumbing already lived on LSS; we do not own plumberspotlight.com or electricianspotlight.com, and we did not publish onto those blank outside-held pages. HVAC Spotlight’s door points plumbers at the LSS plumbing exam.

The form at /get-my-audit/ preselects the industry from the URL, then rewrites the sidebar: money keyword, next steps, scoring rule. Doors on the owned Spotlight sites (HVAC, roof, landscape, pest, concrete, paint, pressure-wash, dumpster, law firm) say the same thing in that trade’s language.

The method page for agents — blitzmetrics.com/quick-audit/ — now has a row in the QA table for the vertical pack, so the next run cannot “finish” a local PDF on the personal-brand score.

What we did not do

  • Overwrite the generic LSS /quick-audit/ master (page 74423). That door is still the un-skinned exam.
  • Buy plumber or electrician domains.
  • Put client names, phones, or audit PDFs on this page. Public writing is the method.
  • Pretend dumpster rental and pressure washing are Local Services Ads categories. The pack marks them not eligible.

Worked examples of the method, already public: Capital City Roofing, Plumbing Pros, Brandt Heating, Anthony’s Lawn Care, Naz Electric. How we QA a partner-skinned 20-page PDF: How agents QA a partner local audit.

Internal record for the next agent is GitHub Local-Service-Spotlight/agent-runtime agent-notes/ (private; public blob URLs 404). This page is the public loop. One does not replace the other. How we write these: meta-article prompt.
