This is an extract from “The Tom Ferry Podcast Experience” with Jason Pantana and me, where we talked about the importance of processes and the basis for designing such processes.
My background is in Math, Economics, and Finance. I went to the London School of Economics for a Master’s degree and was a tutor at SMU.
There’s a scene in the movie, ‘The Matrix’, where they’re walking along and see a woman in a red dress. The guy says at a certain point that he can see her instead of just a code down there.
Data, Their Interrelationship, and Processes
I see data in the same way when it comes to digital marketing; it’s about the back end of the code, behind the red dress, so to speak, about how this digital landscape is unfolding amid big privacy changes.
So, when I think about the top agents and the top brokers, and look across their Google My Business, Google Analytics, emails, the size of their audience and their influence, their Instagram, Snapchat, Clubhouse, and all that kind of stuff, I look for the keys in their relationship and put processes around that and train people to be able to create more. So, I see everything from the lens of systems, math, and processes.
Jason Pantana, Justin Martin, and I have put together processes, just like recipes, that we believe everyone can follow step by step; and they are based on our demonstrated experience.
Process Recipe for Driving Leads
What do you mean by ‘process’?
There are a lot of coaches who want to give their advice. But there are others who actually have a recipe that you can follow for building your business on social media so that you can drive leads.
So, you can use Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and all these mediums in the way they were meant to be used to be able to drive that audience and connection. What is it behind Amazon and Netflix regarding how they make recommendations to you? It’s the same recommendation logic behind TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube.
Conclusion
So, it’s just understanding how you connect with people and letting the algorithm do the work for you. Because now, we’re in a stage where many different channels exist. How does a broker know what to do? How are you going to scale when you’re not an octopus? You only have two hands.
