How Dylan Haugen Turns Tapes He Already Shot Into Articles

GCT. Goal: tapes already shot become URLs Google can quote. Content: a signed Goal line, then one article per public tape. Targeting: athletes and operators sitting on Zoom and gym footage. How we write: article guidelines.

Do not invent a new brand. Inventory the tapes. Put each public one on a URL the person owns.

The person already did the hard part on camera. The site makes it findable.

Dylan Haugen signed his Goal on 19 Aug 2026: Use my dunking journey to help other athletes and local businesses grow in public. That sentence is the targeting. Minnesota Dunk Squad, Dunk Talk, contest film, and Local Service Spotlight builds are the content. The job is to hang each public tape on the tree, not to redesign the hero every night.

The working rule

Ship here
  • New article per public tape
  • Embed the video near the top
  • Link people to their sites
  • Keep private 1:1s off the site
Leave here
  • The person’s homepage canvas
  • Nav they already set
  • Loan-officer and private Zooms
  • Anything they did not sign

That is first person on a personal-brand site, and it is the owner’s voice. Article guidelines: the author is the person. New proof hangs off the tree as leaves. The homepage is not a dumping ground for the factory.

What a complete personal-brand map looks like

The site already had posts. The map still wants a topic wheel, a money tree, a videos index, and a Personal Brand Manager hub once the Goal is signed. Dunk Talk #70 was on the homepage as an embed. Detroit with Cam Hazzard was on YouTube. Those are articles waiting to happen, not a reason to rebuild the hero.

Sister method: people directories on personal brand sites. The publishing rail that keeps a team of agents on the same files: WordPress to Astro: Git Is the Undo Button.

Learn, Do, Teach on one tape

  1. Learn. Watch the tape. Descript transcript is a helper, not a substitute. Names and numbers as said on camera.
  2. Do. One post. Embed first. Short paragraphs. Related links to the person’s other URLs.
  3. Teach. The live article is what the next agent, the next athlete, and Google get. Then the next tape.

Public gym, stage, and teaching tapes go on. Private sessions stay in the folder. That is targeting, not a vibe.

THE DELIVERABLE

Signed Goal. One URL per public tape. Homepage stays the person’s.
