Learning from Rehan Allahwala: A Lesson in Curiosity, Generosity, and Building a Movement

During a recent work trip to Las Vegas with Dennis Yu, I had the chance to meet and spend time with Rehan Allahwala — and it’s an experience that left a lasting impression on me.

From the very start, Rehan’s energy stood out. He carries an endless curiosity, constantly asking questions and wanting to learn — not just about business, but about life itself. Whether we were sitting at a restaurant, walking to a meeting, or in casual conversation, Rehan would record thoughtful discussions, carefully documenting everything to study and repurpose later. Watching that level of intentionality was eye-opening.

One moment in particular stuck with me. Rehan asked, “What does true happiness look like to you?”
It’s a simple question, but also a profound one — and it made me realize how important it is to build our lives around that answer.

Beyond his personal curiosity, Rehan is on a mission much larger than himself. He is the founder of Rehan School, an educational movement that is expanding rapidly across Pakistan and beyond. Rehan School focuses on empowering young people with real-world skills—teaching effective communication, entrepreneurship, freelancing, and digital marketing to help bridge the gap between education and opportunity.

What impressed me even more was seeing how connected he is to his students. Shortly after our trip, several of Rehan’s students reached out to me, eager to interview me for their various podcasts and projects. It’s clear he is not just teaching — he’s inspiring action and creating real opportunities.

Rehan is constantly looking for ways to improve Rehan School, refine his systems, and better serve his students. His mission is about lifting others up, giving them the tools to succeed, and showing what’s possible when education focuses on real-world outcomes.

Meeting Rehan wasn’t just another networking moment. It was a reminder that curiosity, generosity, and building systems that empower others are some of the most powerful tools you can carry with you — in business and in life.
