Inside the Launch of Indy Capital: How Colby Davis Is Bringing His Brands Under One Roof

When Colby Davis first started Davis Painting, he wasn’t thinking about building a portfolio of companies. He was thinking about how to do great work, treat people right, and build a reputation that would last.

Fast forward to today, and Davis is preparing to launch Indy Capital—a holding company that will officially bring together all of his brands under one roof: Davis Painting, Suds Power Washing, Light Your Night, Marketing Now, and Honest Roofing.

In a recent conversation, Davis shared the thought process behind the move, and why he sees Indy Capital as the natural evolution of everything he’s built.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Davis says. “Each of these companies grew from real needs we saw—either in the market or within our own operations. It just makes sense now to bring them together formally under one banner.”

According to Davis, launching Indy Capital isn’t about creating complexity—it’s about creating clarity. As the businesses grew, he noticed a recurring theme: customers trusted one brand, and then wanted to work with his team in other areas too. Whether it was painting, pressure washing, roofing, or even holiday lighting, the underlying trust and service standards stayed the same.

“When people hire us, they’re not just buying a service. They’re buying into how we show up, how we treat them, and the standards we keep,” Davis explains. “Indy Capital will make that connection more obvious.”

The creation of Indy Capital also reflects a shift in how Davis sees his role. Instead of being the day-to-day face of just one business, he’s stepping fully into his identity as a founder, builder, and leader across multiple industries.

“My passion now is building companies and building teams,” Davis says. “I still love the work. I’ll always love the work. But the bigger impact comes from helping good people grow great businesses inside a structure that’s built to last.”

For Davis, Indy Capital isn’t just a corporate move—it’s a way to create more opportunity. By formalizing the structure, he believes it will open up new paths for internal growth, strategic partnerships, and even future acquisitions down the line.

As Indy Capital prepares to officially launch this summer, Davis is focused on making sure the transition is seamless for clients—and energizing for his teams.

“This isn’t about changing who we are. It’s about strengthening it,” he says. “At the end of the day, people will still call Davis Painting for painting, Suds for power washing, Honest Roofing for roofing—and they’ll still get the same quality they’ve always trusted. The difference is, now they’ll know they’re part of something even bigger.”
