How to Attract High-Paying Clients from Anywhere

As someone coming from the Philippines or Pakistan, it’s not uncommon to encounter the assumption: “oh, you’re American, and your English is excellent – that’s why they pay you more. Let’s face it, location and accent shouldn’t be barriers to success in the digital marketing world.
Here’s the secret weapon you might not know about Perceived Authority

You’ve heard of actual authority, right? That’s your track record, your results. But perceived authority – who you know and who you’re connected with – can be just as important. Think about it – if you see someone hanging out with successful people, doesn’t it make them seem more credible?

Connecting with Roger Wakefield:

Here’s what I did with Roger Wakefield.
I happened to be in Dallas speaking at a conference and I said, Roger, I wanna invite you on stage to be the closing keynote in front of everybody.

Building Value:

He changed his schedule to come join me on stage and I spent my time that I could have spent speaking about digital marketing.

Dennis alone

Instead, I spent that time interviewing Roger about how successful he was. And I made him look good. And I said, Hey, let’s use ChatGPT, and let’s write a book together.

We wrote a book about plumbing. we came up with a title like pipes to clicks.

And ChatGPT created the cover, headlines, ads, and processed the videos, and created an outline. I did that as a gift to him. So I created value for him. we had a webinar with his son, helping out his son who owns another business. I just added value, I never asked for anything.

Building a Partnership:

One morning, Roger called me with a fantastic idea. “I love how we’re working together,” he said. “I have a great concept for a partnership. Here are some projects I’d love to collaborate on.

After we partnered, Roger came up with an idea: “Are You Googleable?” He pointed out that there’s no standard in the world of SEO, and not even Google has created one. This led us to ask why not create a standard ourselves? And just like you wouldn’t trust someone without proper training to perform heart surgery on you, shouldn’t there be a benchmark for SEO as well?

I was with Tanveer Nandla, and we dug into a burning question: How can Pakistanis reach American wages?

I shared my story and techniques for success, highlighting the importance of connecting with industry leaders and adding value wherever you can.

These strategies have been key to my own journey in digital marketing, and I’m excited to share them with you.
Let me know what you think!
