Goals & Analytics Course
Setting Measurable and Meaningful Goals
YOUR GOALS ARE YOUR METRICS AND MISSION
We break goals into two different parts. The first half is your mission. It is your why or what you want to do with your brand, product, or business. Do you want to teach people how to cook, sell a product, or write music people will enjoy listening to?
For example, someone is trying to sell t-shirts, and their mission is to make people laugh with their t-shirts because they’re funny. They sell them on Facebook. The t-shirts cost $10 to make. So, I want to sell a t-shirt with a $5 CPA, a $10 CPM, or a $0.02 cost review with a video.
For the mission to work, you need the second part, metrics. It is where you try to sell a product. When you think of goals, you need to be clear on your mission because it will dictate how you create your content further down the line. It is because the mission and content tie together.
Goals tie back to your mission, and the mission works with the metrics. Next, you should identify your metrics, what to look for, and your mission. If you’re unsure about your metrics or goals, we will teach you how to get to that point.
Before you start working on your personal branding, you need to define what you want to brand yourself as.
If you're passionate about music, you might want to become the best marketer in the music industry. Or maybe you're passionate about sports. Establish yourself as the top social analytics expert in the sports industry.
Once you figure out what you stand for, everything else can start to fall into place. Setting goals is phase 2 of the Social Amplification Engine.
