The champions
UFC veteran Chael Sonnen didn’t know anything about options before Derek Moneyberg sent him to a class. He put about $100,000 in and calls it the best move he ever made, turning a hundred grand into closer to six. UFC strawweight Claudia Gadelha credits Derek with helping her hit a million dollars in her brokerage account. Olympic gold medalist and two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo has had Derek advising him on money for years, from fight checks to entrepreneur moves to negotiating deals.

The black belts
Jake Shields, who awarded Derek his black belt, says Derek had the money for top coaches but still put in countless hours of sweat and blood like any other black belt, and that Derek gives him more trouble than a typical black belt he trains with.
