Growing a local service business online isn’t just about driving traffic—it’s about attracting the right customers. Over the past six months, we’ve focused on improving our organic rankings, strengthening our local presence, and increasing quality calls for Nilson Silva’s companies. While we’ve doubled our organic traffic and seen key keyword improvements, there’s still work to do.
Let’s explore the data and what it means for our next steps.
Where We Started:
Nilson wanted help optimizing his Google My Business (GMB) listings and creating content for his pool cleaning, remodeling, and construction business in Fort Lauderdale. His specific requests included:
1. GMB Optimization
- Optimize multiple GMB listings for Fort Lauderdale, Weston, and surrounding areas.
- Improve citations and local SEO for better ranking.
- Ensure the new GMB listing is set up correctly.
2. Content Creation
- Compile a list of People Also Ask (PAA) questions related to:
- Pool Cleaning
- Pool Remodeling
- Pool Construction
3. Website & SEO
- Assist with on-page SEO once the new website is ready.
- Optimize WordPress location service pages for search rankings.
What We Did for Nilson
We worked on multiple aspects of his digital presence, including GMB optimization, directory citations, and content strategy.
All About Pressure Washing
Over the last six months, we’ve seen significant improvements in key metrics.
- Organic Traffic: More than doubled since June.
- Keyword Rankings: Stronger local signals have boosted our rankings for:
- “Pressure cleaning Broward County”
- “Pressure clean” (moved from page 3 to position #3)
- Unique terms like “concrete antiquing Pompano Beach”
Our first MAA report showed our ranking for “pressure cleaning service” on LocalFalcon.
Now, we’ve climbed significantly.
This means that from last summer to November, the number of calls from Google My Business (GMB) has doubled. However, there might be some seasonal effects in December and now, as Florida usually doesn’t experience such cold weather. The colder temperatures could be influencing call volume.
LeakXperts:
- Leads (90-day graph): Increasing steadily.
- Keyword Rankings: Progress in local signals and high-value terms like “leak detection Broward County” and “leak experts”, driving organic traffic.
- Business Results: We focus on quality calls, aligning with Nilson’s priority.
In the last three months, we’ve received only five reviews, which slows down the positive impact of our content efforts. While these issues aren’t urgent emergencies, they are important for long-term growth. As we generate more reviews and maintain content efforts, the momentum grows and magnifies, leading to sustained growth.
