16 years ago, I was in Singapore with the ambitious Damon Wee, along with another remarkable individual—16-year-old prodigy Harrison Gevirtz, who would later become the CEO of Ringba.

At the time, we were just beginning our careers, unaware of the extraordinary paths that lay ahead for us. Standing atop the 57th-floor rooftop pool of the iconic Marina Bay Sands, I was overwhelmed with pride at how far Damon and Harrison have come.

Harrison has risen to become a titan in affiliate marketing, founding Ringba, one of the industry’s leading call-tracking platforms. I first met Harrison 14 years ago, when he was a 16-year-old famous for putting all his expenses on a Black Card. We spoke at major Internet marketing conferences and made millions doing affiliate marketing.

Damon’s journey, on the other hand, has led him to helm digital marketing at Marina Bay Sands, the crown jewel of Asia’s hospitality scene. His leadership has played a pivotal role in shaping the digital presence of one of the world’s most iconic destinations. But Damon’s story begins long before his role at Marina Bay Sands.

In his earlier career, Damon made significant strides at SingTel, one of Asia’s largest telecommunications companies, where he showcased his remarkable skills in product development and business strategy.

After his impactful stint at SingTel, Damon transitioned to lead the digital marketing efforts at Marina Bay Sands, where his innovative approach helped the company maintain its position as a leader in the hospitality industry. His success in digital marketing was driven by a deep understanding of how technology and customer engagement intersect—a skill he developed early on during his time in telecom.

It’s astounding to witness the heights that can be reached with a bit of guidance and a relentless work ethic. Both Damon and Harrison have shown that with dedication and passion, even the loftiest dreams can become a reality.

These talented individuals exemplify how commitment and perseverance can turn ambition into achievement. They inspire us all to aim higher, to push boundaries, and to lead by example.

May Damon continue to inspire us all and pave the way for those who follow.
