How to Grant Access to Your Google Business Profile

Your Google Business Profile (GBP) controls how you appear in Google Search and Google Maps — your hours, photos, reviews, and posts. Granting us Manager access lets our team optimize your profile, respond to reviews, and post updates on your behalf without giving up ownership of your listing.

Estimated Time to Complete: 3 to 5 minutes

What You’ll Need

  • A Google account that is the Primary Owner or Owner of your Business Profile
  • Our team email: access@yourcontentfactory.com
  • A desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge)

Steps

  1. Go to your Google Business Profile. Open https://business.google.com and sign in with the Google account that owns your business listing.
  2. Select your business. If you manage more than one location, select the business you want us to help with.
  3. Open the People menu. In the left-hand menu (or the three-dot menu on mobile), look for People or People and access and click it.
  4. Click Add. Click the Add button (or the person icon with a + sign) in the top area.
  5. Enter our email and choose a role.
    • Email: access@yourcontentfactory.com
    • Role: Manager

Manager access lets us edit your business info, reply to reviews, create posts, and add photos — but cannot remove you as owner or delete the listing.

  6. Click Invite. Our team will accept the invitation and can begin optimizing your Business Profile right away.

Role Levels Explained

Primary Owner — The original creator. Full control, can transfer ownership. This stays with you.

Owner — Can do everything except delete the listing or remove the Primary Owner.

Manager — Can edit info, manage reviews, create posts, and add photos. This is what we need.

Site Manager — Limited to editing basic info. Not sufficient for us.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see the People option. You may not have Owner-level access. Check who originally claimed the listing and ask them to add our email.

My business isn’t verified yet. You’ll need to verify your business before you can add managers. Google typically verifies via postcard, phone, or email. See our guide on how to set up a Google Business Profile.

I have multiple locations. You’ll need to add us as a Manager to each location individually, or add us at the Business Group level if your locations are organized under a group.

This is one part of our Access Checklist. Visit blitzmetrics.com/acl to see all the accounts we need access to and complete the rest of the checklist.
