From Cuba to the Ring: 15-Year-Old Chris’s Pro Boxing Dream

Chris is 15, born in Cuba, and already training like the next step is a pro boxing ring.

In this conversation, he shares the mindset and daily habits he’s using to turn a dream into a plan.

Why Chris Chose Boxing

Chris has always liked fighting, but basketball wasn’t going to be his path: “I was never really good at it and I’m really short.”

He got into karate for a couple of years but didn’t enjoy it. Boxing clicked, and that’s where the passion stuck.

The Training Routine

Chris’s routine is simple and consistent—calisthenics like push-ups and pull-ups, jump rope, and shadow boxing—then his favorite part of training.

The point isn’t complexity. It’s repetition.

Cuba’s Influence

Even though he wasn’t in Cuba for long, the culture left a mark. It’s “really beautiful,” he says, but also in a “difficult spot right now.”

Growing up, he was always outside. That’s where he built his love for sports.

The Mindset That Matters

Chris respects fighters with a strong style and presence. But when asked what makes a good boxer, his answer is straightforward: “Really? Just hard work. Anyone can be good [at] boxing if you just put your mind to it.”

Beating the Competition

A lot of people work hard. Chris’s plan is to do it with consistency: “I’m going to put in that work every day at the gym non-stop until I make it.”

Tell Your Story

Most people sit on their dreams because they think their story isn’t interesting. Chris is proof that talking about it—and doing the work—moves you forward.
