Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits: spend 90 percent of effort on the few pieces that already work

Canonical method. The topic wheel is what you talk about. The money tree is which URLs collect that talk into money. Greatest hits are the three on each map you actually amplify. The 90/10 split lives in the Nine Triangles. This page is how you name the three.

What a greatest hit is

A greatest hit is a URL that already did the job. Not the newest post. Not the longest post. Not the one the founder is bored of. If a stranger already found it, watched it, booked from it, or paid because of it, it is a hit until something beats it on the same scoreboard.

Two lists, never one mush:

On this pageYou highlightThe job
Topic wheelTop 3 topics or articlesAttention — the stories people already remember you for
Money treeTop 3 money pagesConversion — quote, book, coaching, product, audit

The rest of the wheel and the tree stay visible. Hits are the gold chips, not a deletion of the library. Dollar a Day then spends ~90% behind those URLs and ~10% on new experiments from the wheel.

How we identify them (in this order)

  1. Conversion. Form fills, booked calls, invoices, or package sales attributed to a URL. A money-tree hit without a conversion path is a pretty branch.
  2. Paid amplification. Dollar-a-Day comments, CTR, and cost per result. Kill the losers; the survivors are hits.
  3. Organic search. Search Console clicks and GA4 engaged sessions on a stable URL — not a homepage session dump.
  4. Inbound. Email or DMs that name the piece: “I saw your 600-call test.” That sentence is evidence.
  5. Age + uniqueness, only if 1–4 are missing. The article that existed before this week’s factory run. A chip published the same morning as the wheel is an experiment, not a hit.

Do not rank by recency, word count, or how proud you are of the draft. Do not invent a revenue number to justify the list. Write one sentence of evidence under each card. If you cannot write the sentence, it is not a hit yet.

Worked examples (18 August 2026)

Each row is a live URL. The “why” is the evidence we used, not a slogan.

George Paladichuk — topic wheel · money tree

HitWhy it counted
Money 1NaiL A.I.The product. Center of his wheel. Every other page should send a franchisor here.
Money 2Missed-call leakThe buying argument, not a blog index.
Money 3AboutWho they are buying from.
Topic 1AI hang-ups 4x’dLived before the 18 Aug chip batch. Original 600-call test.
Topic 2Conference floor footageThe other pre-existing article. Proof he is in the rooms.
Topic 3Missed-call leakThe HOW spoke the 22 video ideas hang on. New chips are experiments.

We did not crown “1,000 missed calls a day” a hit. That page was created the same morning as the other factory stubs. Same-day inventory is feedstock, not a greatest-hits album.

Company sites

BlitzMetrics highlights Dollar a Day, Content Factory, and Nine Triangles as topics; Dollar a Day, Get my audit, and the Knowledge Panel package as money. Local Service Spotlight highlights the audit, the Knowledge Panel package, and Cloud AI setup as money; topic wheel, skill packs, and the Knowledge Panel book as topics.

How it looks on the page

A gold three-card strip sits above the diagram. Each card is an <a href> to the hit URL, numbered 1–3, with the evidence sentence underneath. On a generated topic wheel the matching chips also get a star. Marker: data-greatest-hits="topics" or data-greatest-hits="money". Specs live in Topic-Wheel/hits/{stem}.json. Re-rank when the evidence changes, not when you publish a new stub.

Do not reprint a giant “THE NAME GREATEST HITS” title on the SVG. The page H1 plus this strip is enough.

Definition of done

  • Method article is this URL.
  • /topic-wheel/ shows three topic hits with evidence, each HTTP 200.
  • /money-tree/ shows three money hits with evidence, each HTTP 200.
  • Same-day factory stubs are not in the three.
  • 90% of the next boost/repurpose cycle points at these URLs.

Skill: greatest-hits-on-wheel-and-tree. Pair: topic wheel on every personal brand site. Content-strategy sibling: 90% hits / 10% new.
