How to Grant Access to Your YouTube Channel

Your YouTube channel is a major asset for your personal brand and content strategy. Granting us access lets our team upload videos, optimize titles and descriptions, manage playlists, and review analytics — all without needing your Google password.

Estimated Time to Complete: 3 to 5 minutes

What You’ll Need

  • A Google account that is the Owner of the YouTube channel (or has Manager permissions on a Brand Account)
  • Our team email: access@yourcontentfactory.com
  • A desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge)

Option A: YouTube Channel Using a Brand Account (Most Common)

If your YouTube channel is connected to a Brand Account (most business/personal brand channels are), follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Brand Account settings. Open https://myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts and sign in.
  2. Select your Brand Account. Click on the Brand Account name associated with your YouTube channel.
  3. Click Manage permissions. This will show you a list of current members.
  4. Click the invite icon. Click the person icon with a + in the top-right corner.
  5. Enter our email and choose a role.
    • Email: access@yourcontentfactory.com
    • Role: Manager

Manager access lets us upload videos, edit channel details, and view analytics. It does not let us delete the channel or remove you as Owner.

  6. Click Invite. Our team will accept the invitation and can start managing your channel.

Option B: YouTube Studio Permissions (For Channels Without Brand Accounts)

  1. Open YouTube Studio and sign in.
  2. Click Settings (gear icon) in the bottom-left.
  3. Go to Permissions.
  4. Click Invite and enter access@yourcontentfactory.com.
  5. Set the role to Editor (can upload/edit videos) or Editor (Limited) depending on your preference.
  6. Click Save.

Not sure if you have a Brand Account? Go to YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Basic Info. If you see “You’re using a Brand Account,” then use Option A above. If not, use Option B.

Troubleshooting

I don’t see the Permissions option in YouTube Studio. This is only available to channel Owners. If someone else created the channel, ask them to add you as an Owner first, or have them add our email directly.

I want to give access without giving upload rights. You can choose the “Viewer” or “Viewer (Limited)” roles, but these won’t allow us to manage your channel effectively. We recommend Manager or Editor at minimum.

This is one part of our Access Checklist. Visit blitzmetrics.com/acl to see all the accounts we need access to and complete the rest of the checklist.

Questions? Email operations@yourcontentfactory.com and we’ll walk you through it.
