Facebook has always been our choice for advertising with it’s robust platform. However, Twitter has recently started ramping up their efforts to attract advertisers.
Where as Facebook reduced the amount of ad types by combining them together, Twitter announced last month that they’re working on 15 different ad types.
If you’ve been curious about advertising on Twitter but didn’t have the budget or want to spend, here’s your chance. Twitter is giving out 100 dollars ad credit if you answer a 5 question survey, which only takes a few minutes to complete. Here’s how:
This is the offer email we received. When you click “Let’s Go!”, it takes you to a quick survey. You can skip to the offer by clicking here, but this could hurt your chances of being approved, so we recommend completing it:
Answer all of the questions. We like to participate in these to improve the platform- they’ll never know what to tailor it to if you don’t give feedback!
Before you click DONE, Log into Twitter using your company /advertising account before completing the survey, otherwise you’ll get this error:
Once you’re logged in, it will verify your information at the bottom. Check your account information below then hit Apply now:
You’ll get this notification that you’ve finished:
It can take up to 5 business days for a decision- We got it the same day, however. You’ll receive the following email if you’re approved:
Once set up, you can check your credit balance under Account->Billing history:
Enjoy your $100 worth of Twitter ad credit.
We were so excited, that we did a test campaign:
Our initial bid was $0.25, working out to a $10 CPM- which is quite high, and in turn, drives up the cost per engagement to 20 cents. The default bids are always super-high, so be careful when making your campaign.
Give this a try and let us know your campaign results! We’re always happy to feature awesome stories.
