Are you ready to move on to Level 2?
Communicate-Iterate-Delegate, or #CID, is one of the nine triangles that comprise our Mega Framework of Business Triangle. Here, you will learn how to become a leader. You have to develop your leadership skills before you can level up.
In order to be an effective leader, you need to understand how #CID works.
Personal effectiveness comes before organizational effectiveness since you must practice what you preach. The greater your responsibility, the more you must initiate communication across the team. Even if you communicate clearly and in advance, the leader is at fault if delegation fails.
Thus, you cannot delegate what you haven’t clearly defined and know how to do yourself.
Communicate frequently and reliably, even if just to say you don’t know but will get back to them. Frequent, small touches beat the perfection that never happens.
Iterate via #MAA (Metrics-Analysis-Action) rapidly to allow “many shots on goal” versus procrastination disaster.
Resolve external dependencies first. Delegate before it becomes an emergency for someone else.
- Communicate frequently and reliably. Don't delay this.
- Iterate rapidly. Take the initiative.
- Learn how to delegate effectively. Remember, you cannot delegate what you don't know how to do yourself.
