Day 1: Hitting the Ground Running
The trip started as soon as I landed, meeting Dennis at the airport. Our first stop? Fogo de Chão, one of his favorite spots. We didn’t dive into the full experience just yet—only the salad bar this time—because we had a big “Meating” planned for the next day. Dennis loves to call dinner meetings “Meatings” as a play on words, and I quickly learned that these meals are more than just food; they’re full of ideas, strategy, and valuable conversations.
While at lunch, we took a Zoom meeting with a client, ducking into a private section of the restaurant to make it happen. Most people would’ve rescheduled or said they were busy, but Dennis prioritizes making things work. That’s something I noticed throughout the trip—he doesn’t let the location or situation stop him from getting things done.
After that, we headed to the hotel, but work wasn’t over. Dennis set up an interview with me right on the beach, with a beautiful sunset in the background. We talked about my journey—from being a model to an influencer to now running Jordan Media, my social media agency. After he interviewed me, I flipped the mic and interviewed him for my podcast, Your First Social Media Dollar.
Day 2: Work Happens Anywhere
The next day was packed with Zoom calls and meetings. We spoke with a notable roofer client and connected with potential new partners. Watching Dennis work was eye-opening. Whether we were at a desk, in an Uber, or sitting at a restaurant, the location didn’t matter—he kept the same level of focus and output.
That evening, we met up with Elliot Drake, a former mentee of Dennis’. Over our “Meating” at a local Brazilian restaurant, we discussed all things agency work, AI, and future business ideas. Elliot had incredible insights, and after dinner, I had the chance to interview him as well—another great conversation to add to the trip.
Day 3: The Big Meeting with 4Ever Young
This was the main reason we were in Miami. Watching Dennis walk the 4Ever Young team through our Content Factory process was impressive. Seeing Daniel Goodrich break down the backend technical aspects of what we do was a masterclass in client communication.
Then came my time to contribute. I interviewed several of their staff, from nurses to front desk workers, making sure to get genuine, unscripted insights. The goal was to make them feel comfortable and natural on camera—real conversations, not forced testimonials. We filmed everything on an iPhone with extra lighting options, keeping it raw and authentic. By the end of the session, we had exactly what we needed.
Final Day: More Meetings, More Learning
The last day was another whirlwind of great conversations and new opportunities. The morning started with a meeting at Austin Marotta’s apartment complex, which had an incredible gym. We had a great conversation about potential collaborations and future projects.
Later, we met with Nilson Silva, one of Dennis’ clients who runs MasterTouch Outdoor Living, a business that designs and builds luxury pools. His facility was impressive, and what stood out even more was the tight-knit team he’s built—many of them family members. We grabbed lunch at a Brazilian burger spot, where Nilson seemed to know everyone—including the owner.
After that, it was time to head to the airport and wrap up the trip.
Takeaways from the Trip
This experience gave me firsthand insight into high-level client interactions—from Zoom calls to in-person meetings to on-the-go content creation. I learned so much about:
– Conducting interviews – making people feel comfortable and extracting great insights.
– The power of content creation anywhere – you don’t need a fancy studio, just a good approach and the willingness to hit record.
I met some incredible people, absorbed a ton of valuable knowledge, and left Miami feeling even more excited about the work I’m doing.
This was more than just a trip—it was a deep dive into the world of business, content, and making things happen.
